Distinguished Speaker Series
Stanford Tau Beta Pi enriches students’ learning outside of the classroom by bringing engaging speakers to campus. Our highly-anticipated speaker series features accomplished CEOs, start-up founders, and thought leaders who provide our members and the greater Stanford community with valuable insights.
STAR Banquet
Each year, Stanford Tau Beta Pi hosts the Student-Teacher Academic Roundtable (STAR) Banquet to provide members, candidates, and engineering students the opportunity to discuss their undergraduate engineering experience with illustrious faculty members. The STAR Banquet has become a place for both casual interactions and formal discussions regarding areas of improvement for the School of Engineering.
CEO Dinners
Stanford Tau Beta Pi’s CEO Dinners are a unique opportunity for candidates and members to converse with top-notch executives in an intimate setting. Only 8-10 students are permitted to attend each dinner to ensure that every attendee is able to speak directly with our esteemed guest of the week.
School of Engineering Q&A
Stanford Tau Beta Pi is dedicated to helping aspiring engineers achieve success. During New Student Orientation (NSO), Tau Beta Pi members meet with freshmen to answer their questions about choosing a major, course selection, pursuing research opportunities, and applying to internships in engineering fields.
Mentorship Program
Stanford Tau Beta Pi’s mentorship program matches underclassmen passionate about engineering with our knowledgeable members. During this year-long program, mentors share their academic and industry experiences with mentees and provide advice on career exploration, engineering resources on campus, and navigating life at Stanford.
Outreach
Through hands-on engineering workshops, Stanford Tau Beta Pi encourages K-12 students to explore their interest in engineering. Tau Beta Pi often join forces with other engineering organizations at Stanford to build enthusiasm for STEM in the local community.
Alumni Barbeque
The Tau Beta Pi community extends beyond current undergraduates at Stanford. Every spring, our members and alumni gather to enjoy each other’s company and feast on a delicious BBQ meal.
Outdoor Excursions
Stanford Tau Beta Pi members love spending time outdoors. Dish hikes, volleyball games, and frisbee tossing under the sun are all fantastic bonding experiences for our membership.
Special Dinner
Each winter, Tau Beta Pi members, candidates, and friends gather to enjoy a delicious dinner with music, games, and fun conversation.
