Favorite engineering-related sources for inspiration:
I think the thing that makes me most excited about innovation and engineering happening out in the world is Wired, but I also read Popular Mechanics, Co.Design (Fast Company), etc. Reading about cool things other people are doing tends to provide a spark.
Why did you choose to be an engineer?
I chose to be an engineer because engineering is solving real-world problems. I started out wanting to do mechanical engineering before becoming MS&E with a CS minor, and I’m one of those people that’s really interested in everything. The applied nature of engineering makes it feel useful and interesting, and I like the methodical approach of breaking down issues into discrete steps and math.
